HINDU MYTHOLOGY REASONS ECLIPSE

Bad guy ( demon) wants Immortality Nectar meant strictly for Gods - Bad guy disguises himself as a God and  sits between Sun God and Moon God during supper serving Immortality Nectar where entry was allowed only by invite - Sun and Moon Gods are pretty smart so they sense the impostor - they alert Super God Vishnu & hide behind each other - Super God Vishnu chops off bad guy's head with a sharp-edged frisbee. But it is too late - the bad guy has already had a little bit of Immortality Nectar from someone's glass - so after the chop- his head was called Rahu and tail was called Ketu both alive and kicking separately! The 2 invisible planets became enemies of Sun God and Moon God - whenever Rahu and Ketu are too powerful , they swallow Sun or Moon - that's why an eclipse - but then God prevails over Demon & order is prevailed.
